How to use

Testosterone Core is self-injected intramuscularly, typically into the gluteal or thigh muscle, once every 7 to 10 days, depending on your prescribed dose. Anastrozole is taken twice per week, ideally spaced evenly apart (e.g., Monday and Thursday). You will receive more detailed instructions with your first shipment, if prescribed. Consistency is key, so ensure you follow the recommended schedule for optimal results. Always reach out to your provider if you have any concerns or need assistance.

What is Testosterone Core?

Testosterone Core is our most beginner-friendly option, perfect for those who haven’t tried it before or are just looking for an intro to TRT. It consists of a bioidentical form of testosterone—the primary male sex hormone—called cypionate, designed to be injected into the muscle. Cypionate is one of the most commonly prescribed TRT options used for men with clinically low testosterone (aka hypogonadism) to help restore healthy hormone levels.

Why we include anastrozole

This treatment protocol includes an additional prescription for anastrozole to provide a more holistic, complete approach to hormone support, so you get the best results possible. As testosterone rises, some can convert into estrogen. Anastrozole helps keep estrogen in a healthy range, reducing the risk of side effects like water retention, mood swings, and gynecomastia.

Providing bloodwork

To start treatment, at the 3-month mark, and recurring yearly, you must provide lab results You may upload previous lab results during the checkout process if they meet the below requirements, or you can obtain new labs after submitting your prescription request. We recommend LabCorp On Demand or Quest Diagnostics for new labs.

Results include values for free testosterone, luteinizing hormone (LH), and estradiol at minimum.

Results were collected within the past 90 days.

Document must be official and show that the testing was performed at a legitimate lab.

How do I know if I have low testosterone?

Symptoms of low testosterone (aka “Low T”) can include fatigue, low libido, weight gain, mood changes, trouble focusing, and reduced muscle mass. The only way to know for sure is through a blood test and doctor evaluation.

Who is a good candidate for this treatment?

We generally recommend Testosterone Core for men with low testosterone (hypogonadism) who have not previously tried testosterone replacement therapies and are looking for a consistent, long-acting option to help restore hormone balance. It is a great introduction to TRT if you're dealing with symptoms like low energy, reduced sex drive, mood swings, or muscle loss, and bloodwork confirms low T levels. As with all testosterone therapies, lab-confirmed diagnosis of low T is required before starting treatment.

Is this treatment well-tolerated?

When prescribed and monitored by a licensed medical provider, testosterone therapy is generally well-tolerated. Your care team will assess your health history and labs before prescribing, and continue monitoring to ensure everything stays on track.

Why is anastrozole included with this treatment?

As testosterone levels increase as a result of the TRT, it can be converted into estrogen, potentially leading to unwanted side effects such as gynecomastia or bloating. Anastrozole addresses this, ensuring that the increased testosterone levels are effective and balanced. Together, these medications provide a comprehensive approach to optimizing testosterone levels while minimizing potential estrogen-related issues, ensuring the most effective and balanced hormonal treatment. If prescribed, it is essential that you take both medications for best results.

How do subscriptions work?

When you start a subscription request, you will receive a free online provider consultation through our asynchronous telehealth model. You will be prompted to submit payment information once at the beginning of treatment, and all subsequent payments will be processed with the provided information automatically based on the plan chosen: 1-month, 3-month, or 6-month.

If prescribed, you will receive the appropriate amount of medication and supplies for the plan you’ve chosen, in addition to free shipping, follow-ups, and ongoing support throughout treatment. You may cancel your subscription at any time, but keep in mind that refills already in processing cannot be cancelled.

How do follow-ups work?

If prescribed, you will have virtual follow-ups every 3 and 6 months. Both follow-ups involve uploading new bloodwork results followed by a few quick questions to help the doctor evaluate your progress and make any changes to your dosage. You will receive text and email communications when it is time to complete your follow-ups, and it is vital that you complete them in a timely manner to ensure the safety and effectiveness of your treatment.

What is the process for submitting bloodwork?

Bloodwork must be obtained from a reputable lab. We recommend using LabCorp On Demand or Quest Diagnostics for convenience. You will submit these labs during your initial visit, or if you don’t have them yet, you can upload them to your profile within 10 days of submitting your prescription request. You will also be asked to submit update bloodwork results along with each 3-month follow-up to ensure treatment remains safe and effective.
